Your Friday Colour Palette...
Who said blue and green should never be seen! There are definite exceptions to the rule. Just look at these stunning images below. I just had to include a pumpkin... is anyone else overly excited about Halloween next weekend? I am :)
I just love the blue pumpkin so much, that I had to do a colour palette this week to compliment it. I have also put in a few other beautiful images to support my 'blue and green should be seen' theory :)

( the finest furniture by stuart scott associates )
I was recently made aware of Stuart Scott's work by a fantastic joiner friend of mine. When I visited the Stuart Scott Associates website, my face lit up... 'now this is what you call great furniture design'!
'Each piece is executed to the highest standards in England by Master Craftsman using time honoured techniques'.
The statement above just proves the high level of detail that Stuart expects as a great furniture designer. The forms and overall finish of each and every piece is executed so perfectly due to the collaboration between great design and great craftsmanship.
'Stuart Scott Associates was born out of a passion for combining design with function. A graduate of Ravensbourne College of Design in 1993, Stuart has built an enviable reputation for designing contemporary furniture. Each piece is carefully considered with a great attention to detail and form'.
Stuart's first collection is the culmination of Stuart’s twenty years of international experience and was launched at Decorex 2011. Stuart's new collection is 'all designed and ready to go'.
Thank you for chatting with me on Twitter, Stuart :)
Please see below, some of my favourite pieces.

( just great accessories from my pinterest )
I've been really addicted to pinning accessories recently on Pinterest, and thought it might be a nice idea to share with you all. These are some of my favourites. Unfortunately, I don't know the original source for a lot of them, but for some there is a direct link below the image in the 'board' titled 'Products I Love'. I hope you love them as much as I do :)

( friday's palette - orange, grey blue and timber )
Your Friday Colour Palette...
Whilst looking at one of my favourite blogs, Desire to Inspire, I came across these images below by photographer Graham Atkins-Hughes, and styled by Jo Atkins-Hughes. I really love the mood in this property. 'A few well chosen pieces of furniture and new accessories, touches of new colour, warm timber tones have added a life and a warmth to an already amazing house.'
I just had to do this weeks colour palette on these warm and cozy colour combinations :)

( iron frame entrance )
I saw this and just thought 'wow'. It's stunning. Hope you like too. The natural stone floor and the bleached exposed beams, just add to the beauty of this entrance hall :)

( Matarangi house by Sumich Chaplin Architects )
Another stunning example of great interior and architecture working in complete harmony. This New Zealand home is so comfortable and cozy. That's my future New Zealand home sorted, hehehe.
Sumich Chaplin Architects have a great portfolio of work so expect to see more posts about them in the future.

( curtain door by Matharoo Associates )
The Curtain Door by Matharoo Associates is 5.2m high and 1.7m wide, the door is comprised of 40 sections of 254mm-thick Burma teak. Each section is carved so that the door integrates 160 pulleys, 80 ball bearings, a wire-rope and a counter weight hidden within the single pivot.
Stacked one above the other in the closed position, each plank can then rotate by a simple push causing the door to reconfigure into a sinusoidal curve.
The Architectural Review’s Emerging Architecture Awards, celebrates the best pieces of design by young architects from across the world. The door alone, to a diamond merchant’s residence in Surat, India, was judged enough to make it one of the four prize winners. It’s understandable since it’s such a nice and innovative piece. I love this door so much, and I will have one in my future home ;)
