( Friday's Palette - Colour Kids )

Your Friday Colour Palette...
I love this kids room so much. Colourful, simple, and sophisticated... The simple furniture and colour palette would work great for both sexes (even though there's a bit of pink!) Pink is cool... well the right hues! Come on guys, back me up, hehehe. Happy Friday everyone. Hope you all have a great weekend :)

( Inspiration for the Lounge )

Most say that the heart of the home is the Kitchen, but I'd say that the Lounge is equally as hearty and a space to crash in-front of the TV as well as a place to entertain. Getting this space right can be a challenge when it comes to re-designing and getting it right.
Today I want to share a few of my favourite Living spaces where I feel the space offers comfort, timelessness and class. From modern to traditional. Tell me which one is your favourite...

( Nature Vs Interior - Mountain Air )

Teepee Via: PlayHaven

Inspiration is everywhere... especially the great outdoors. I have always been inspired by nature and the natural tones and geometry natural offers. It's so easy to take nature for grated and not spend time really appreciating the beauty that surrounds us. Every now and then I make an effort to escape city living and take time out to enjoy the countryside, and it's here I can, not only clear my mind, but really take inspiration from the forms surrounding me.
I have put together three mood boards that I feel capture the element of pure harmonious living. I hope you like them... Let me know what you think :)

( Interior Trends for 2013 )

What will this year bring in the design world? I think this year is going to be another cool year for great interior and furniture:
COLOURS:
Look out for some great mixture of strong colours working alongside some beautiful muted tones.
I am hoping colour is back on the key trend chart this year. I am confident that some of the great 1950's tone are making their way into 2013 with soft pink, mint green and baby grey/blue. These combined with deep peach and strong coral accents will truly awaken the senses.

MATERIALS:
I have always been a huge lover of Gold/Brass and Walnut, as most of you know, but this year I have a strong feeling that white Marbles with Golds and Brass will make a strong appearance in 2013. Marbles such as Carrera and Calacatta, with inlays of Gold or Brass... Yum :)

What do you think?

( friday's palette - december begins )

Your Friday Colour Palette...
Here's to the beginning of December... I wanted to start Decembers colour palettes as I mean to go on... Christmasy :)
I came across this beautiful fist image last night and knew instantly that I had to use it as my first wintery palette for 2012. I just fell in love with the rich lilac and purple tones in these extremely cute metal display cases, which are from a lovely company called 'Nice'.
I love that this palette is very wintery yet still manages to generate a bit of coziness and warmth through the purple and natural tones. I hope you like it.
Happy Friday everyone. Have a great weekend.

( my dream home - living room )

NEW SERIES... My Dream Home.
In this series I will be creating a visual mood board for every room in my 'dream home'. We can all dream can't we! ;)
This week I have created a mood board for my dream living room. I've created a soft, tranquil space using rich timbers and soft, light fabrics. Choosing the right classic and vintage furniture is also very important to me as I feel these key pieces add personality and character to the space... ultimately creating a beautiful and very cozy living space where I can come home from work, put my feet up on my Chesterfield Sofa (covered with loads of soft cushions), and write my next blog post with a hot cup of tea.

( friday's palette - wedding mood board )

Your Friday colour Palette...
Last month one of my best friends in the world announced that she was getting married (well done Dev for finally making an honest woman out of Kate, hehe.) and I couldn't be more thrilled for them. They are truly one of the most honest and genuine couple you could ever wish to meet.
My Brother and Sister-in law got married a year ago, and as I was so busy with work I couldn't offer my creative services as much as I would have liked to.
This week I met up with Kate and ask if she would like some help with the scheme for her wedding. Kate is one of those girls who knows what she likes and oozes style appeal, so putting a mood board together for her wasn't hard. Here is the first revision we came up with together. She has chosen colours that I adore, so I instantly fell in love with the theme.

( friday's palette - Autumn delight )

Your Friday colour Palette...
As most of you know by now, greens and browns are my favourite colours because, if the right hues and tones are chosen, they will look fantastic anywhere and with anything. I adore the rich hues in all of these images below! The depth of the browns and reds on the timber are reminiscent of the strong, rich Autumnal colours we are seeing here in the UK... I just love the Autumn. Please see below for your weekly colour palette based on these four lovely images :) Happy Friday, and have a wonderful weekend.

( London design festival is here )

As many of you may or may not be aware, London Design Festival is well under way. With so many design events to see, it's hard to know where to start. I am huge fan of both Tent London and Super Brands London.
Tent, located at the Old Truman Brewery, London E1, is most definitely one of my favourite and one I will be attending this weekend (look out for a post about this next week). Now in its sixth year at the Old Truman Brewery, Tent London presents over 200 international exhibitors, showing the very latest in contemporary interior products - furniture, lighting, ceramics, textiles, materials and accessories.
Over 19,000 international trade buyers, high calibre specifiers, opinion forming media and design savvy consumers from 44 different countries attend the four-day event. It is regarded as the most cutting-edge and progressive trade exhibition during the London Design Festival and must attend for those who need to be seen with their finger on the pulse.

Here are a few of my favourite exhibitors to look out for at Tent London...

Incunabular Desk, By Invisible City

Rings Stool, By Claire Anne O'Brien

Super Brands London, co-located with Tent London - a main destination hub during the London Design Festival, the exhibition occupies a 2,500m2 ground floor space of the ex-industrial, now impressive exhibition space - the Old Truman Brewery; bringing together two floors of pure design.
Here are a few of my favourite exhibitors to look out for at Super Brands London...

Beetley Sofa, By Se London

Rock Side Table, By Ginger & Jagger

Also on this week:
- 100% Design
- Decorex International
- Design Junction
- Super Brands London
- Tent London

Have Fun :)
