( my adventures in pictures - east london )

NEW FEATURE - Fun & Inspirations...

This is a brand new feature to 'what wilson wants', where I can show you all what I've been up to over each month and a little insight into where I get some of my inspirations for my posts. I will be including mainly photos taken by myself, so I can only apologise now for my amateur photography skill, hehehe. I hope you like this new feature and find some of my adventures interesting and inspiring :)

So, this is it... the Christmas season is nearly upon us... woohoo! I'm soooo excited! Expect lots of Christmas ideas and happy festive posts to come. Below you will find a few photos I have taken during November, some pretty random, and some to inspire...

Fun Walks & Adventures...

1. Having a lovely walk with a good friend around a fresh foggy Victoria Park, London last weekend.
2. A cute little cafe in Victoria Park Village... They do the best fry-up. All organic produce of course.
3. Enjoying the cute shops in Victoria Park Village... The Ginger Pig is the best butchers in London... Fact!
4. A really cute side street behind the OXO Tower on London's South Bank! We spent ages here just taking photos... then went for a drink of course, hehehe.
5. A stroll through Hays Galleria, London South Bank, when all the shops are closed... Stunning walk at  on a nice evening :)
6. & 7. Watching the fireworks on London's South Bank at the Lord Mayors Festival... Beautiful :)

Cute Little Bits of Inspiration...

8. 9. 10. I popped into Haus London in Victoria Park Village on Sunday. Look at these cute little accessories.

( nature vs. interior - mountain clouds )

When I found this beautiful image of the mountain, I had to find a few beautiful interiors that complimented the richness of these natural colours. For me, that wasn't too difficult as I do love my rich coloured natural timbers, hehehe. The piece of furniture in the first image is stunning! It's just one of those classic credenza units that are so timeless and work so well in any classic or contemporary setting.
The third image shows a lovely open planned live / work space of a renovated barn, by the Dutch Interior Design duo Ina & Matt. Please pay a visit to their website... It's Fab :)

( colour palette - burgundy, cream and grey )

Your Friday Saturday Colour Palette...
I hope you are all enjoying your weekend?
I first came across the image of the bike when I was looking for some inspiration this morning. The contrast between the burgundy body of this bike and the cream walls, is just so tasty! Finding a second image to support the bike image was quite difficult, but I eventually found this lovely bed... hooray! I just love the simplicity of the frame and the richness of the burgundy bedding!
Please see your weekly inspired colour palette, between these lovely inspirational photos.

( aspen home - winter treat )

Whilst looking at one of my favourite blogs You are the River, I came across this beauty! I just had to do a post on it! I really really want to go skiing now! Do you think this owner will let me stay here for free (for a few months), hehehe.
The Alpine freshness of this interior is just amazing! The neutral tones and mix of materials are so refreshing and perfectly balanced throughout the property. I really love the curved darker timber tones on the ceiling. It really helps the space feel more comfortable in the cold but beautiful surrounding Alpine environment. The gorgeous furniture gives this home a true elegant crispness... and who needs wallpaper, or any wall art when you have fantastic large windows, framing views like that! I would choose these views over a Picasso any day :)

( stunning home - imps & elfs )

This is the beautiful home of Imps & Elfs, Childrens fashion label owners. This Dutch home is simply breathtaking... yet another one of my future homes, hehehe... I wish! The mix of raw materials and sumptuous lighting makes this huge space feel so cozy and inviting. The use of beautifully made classic furniture alongside modern furniture makes this space exceptionally homely. To me, this is design perfection! This space really has been designed / renovated for purpose, and the space utilised to its best. One more thing... Windows! WOW! that is all I need to say on that matter! hehehe :)

Right... lets get down to some stunning furniture! I was looking through my image folder last night and came across these beauties! Please see the text below each image for more information on each piece of furniture. I just can't get enough of hand-crafted furniture... you can't beat it! :)
