( office inspiration for home and work )

Whether you work from home or in a large office, it is important that you make your work space personal to you. We spend most of our waking lives in the office so it must make us feel happy, creative and reflect our passions. Remember... your office doesn't have to be white washed walls with a boring white shelf... make it the best place to be, not the worst; And if you work for a big firm, then tell you boss it's time for an office makeover... Use the line, "I feel that the office doesn't reflect the company brand or show what a great and exciting company we are." hehehe. That might just work to encourage your boss to create a space you will love working in. Good luck ;)
Here are a few work spaces that I adore at the moment. I hope they inspire you.

( a wednesday mix )

It's all in the detail...
Here are a few lovely images, interior, lighting and furniture that has my creative mind all excited :)
Unfortunately I have no reference of where these images are from as a lot of them are from my 'general inspiration' folder on my Mac... But if you like any of the images, I will do my very best to find the original source for you. Hope you like. Have a great day :)

( nature vs. interior - deep turquoise )

I am really loving deep turquoise at the moment and I am desperate to use it in a scheme at work. I love how the subtle use of turquoise against an earthy palette really strengthens its elegant hue. I have put together three image that really express exactly what I mean. The first image of this beautiful rustic shoe store is a perfect example... the deep colour in the cushion really brings the leather and timbers surrounding it to life, and even picks up the natural blue/green hues in the timber behind, only strengthening its natural beauty.

( friday's palette - aubergine and green )

Your Friday Colour Palette...
I came across this first image whilst doing a google search last month. At the time, I was actually looking for a really nice bike to buy, but instead of finding the perfect bike, I found this beautiful image of a lovely Amsterdam restaurant entrance. The thing that caught my eye was the aubergine colour of the blinds. This colour combined with the green wreath, and the natural timber of the door is so rich and inviting... I love the bike too :)

( pure bakery heaven )

The Greek based company Studioprotothype recently complete the renovation of a family owned bakery in Edessa, Greece. The owners asked Studioprototype to redefine the look of the Elektra Bakery shop chain with this as it's pilot project. Due to the space being only thirty-five square meters, the Architects where asked to redefine the program of the shop as well as it's appearance.
I just love the clean, fresh, sophisticated and well circulated design of this space. Every aspect of the space has been designed and thought out perfectly.
The long rectangular Carrara Arabescato marble counter draws emphasis within the spatial arrangement of the bakery while the black 'Beat Pendant' lights compliments this lovely interior.
