Look out for some great mixture of strong colours working alongside some beautiful muted tones.
I am hoping colour is back on the key trend chart this year. I am confident that some of the great 1950's tone are making their way into 2013 with soft pink, mint green and baby grey/blue. These combined with deep peach and strong coral accents will truly awaken the senses.

I have always been a huge lover of Gold/Brass and Walnut, as most of you know, but this year I have a strong feeling that white Marbles with Golds and Brass will make a strong appearance in 2013. Marbles such as Carrera and Calacatta, with inlays of Gold or Brass... Yum :)
What do you think?

Mint green is definitely a good shout, although Mens fashion week had a number of coral coloured outfits (if you can ignore the odd wooden plank hats!)
ReplyDeleteTotally agree Will, hehe. Although, when everyone is wearing wooden plank hats, you won't be saying that then, hahaha ;)
DeleteI have definitely developed a new love for coral and mint together.
I hope you are having a good week. Happy New Year.

I was very happy to stumble upon your blog today whilst doing a search for current trends via google. You have a fantastic eye for style and design. Very glad to hear that the muted 50's tone are making a come-back. Thank you for the insight into your world. I am going to carry on reading your blog from where I left off (this could take some time).
ReplyDeleteMany thanks, Candy
Thanks you very much for the kind words Candy. I hope you find my blog useful and fun :)
DeleteThank for the Paper Mojo link. Mint + coral with golden accents look gorgeous and so fresh! Which is OK as we are in summer here ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like the link to Paper Mojo... Great company isn't it. I'm very excited about using these colours and materials in future schemes.
DeleteFresh and summery indeed... In my head it's always Summer, hehehehe.
I hope all is good with you? And a very Happy New Year to you and your family.
