( friday's palette - green, blue, bronze and gold )

Your Friday Colour Palette...
I just love the strength of these colours when they are put together. This image took me forever to find, but I wanted to spend the time finding the best image that really shows these colours working in perfect harmony!
Great Christmas inspiration too... instead of hanging the traditional red, and green decor this year, glam it up with  greens, blues, and metallics.

( another beautiful aspen home )

Whilst at the Gatwick Airport last week, I came was drawn to this months cover image of Architectural Digest. Another beautiful Aspen Home, Colorado!!!! I did a post about an Aspen Home a few weeks ago which is still one of my favourite posts. What sets this home apart from the previous Aspen Home I wrote about, is the use of natural materials in the main structure of the property.
This 20-year-old vacation home was recently renovated by Californian based design firm at Atelier AM who have renovated it with so much thought, care and attention. The beautiful and natural timbers frame the views from the main reception room perfectly. I love the black kitchen the most :)

( my adventures in pictures - scottish highlands )

Fun & Inspirations...
Where do I start... What a fantastic weekend with the family! I went up to the Highlands of Scotland this weekend for my Auntie's Birthday which was on the Saturday. It was fantastic to see all of the Wilson and Main side of the family all under one roof... Nobody parties like the Scottish :)
Sunday was spent relaxing all day nursing our hangovers, hehehe...

Magic...
Monday was INCREDIBLE... My Dad took me to Findochty, a tiny fishing village in Moray, Scotland. It's one of the most beautiful place I've seen. Findochty is where my Dad was born and raised, and he wanted to teach and show me all about his childhood there. He has told me all the stories of his lovely upbringing throughout my life, but he could tell me these stories a million times and I would never get bored! To actually visualise these stories in this magical fishing village was incredible and very emotional.
The Cullen Skink (A Traditional Fish Soup from Cullen which is the village next to Findochty) in the pub was amazing, but not as good as my Dads.
Thank you Dad for a wonderful day there. Lets go back again soon :)
I really hope you all enjoy looking at these photos as much as I did taking them.

Leaving This Morning...

( friday's palette - rusty red, grey and timber )

Your Friday Colour Palette...
The past couple of days here in London Town, the weather has been a bit miserable! So I'm hoping this weeks colour palette will warm you up a little. I adore the tones in the rusty old cooker hobs in the first image.  These rich rusty reds work so well with the greys and timber tones. I hope these images and my colour palette inspire you. Have a great weekend :)

( my australian dream holiday home )

This amazing Point Piper home just outside Sydney Australia is by Australian Architects Katon Redgen Mathieson. I love the fresh and crispness of this beautiful contemporary home. Perfect home for entertaining! Anyone fancy a New Years Eve pool party here ;)
The huge glass front running around the entire ground floor is reminiscent of the classic Villa Savoye by Le Corbusier. The sophistication and simple forms continue throughout the house, taking every detail into consideration, including the furniture. The Timber feature wall with those large paintings is just lovely, and really helps control the balance between interior and exterior perfectly.
